Overview
At Art and Designer India, shipping original handmade paintings requires more than just a box and tape. Each artwork is packed with archival-grade materials — acid-free tissue, bubble wrap, rigid backing, and sturdy outer cartons — to ensure it reaches you in the same pristine condition it left our studio in Hyderabad. We partner with trusted national and international logistics providers to deliver your artwork safely and on time.
Order Processing Times
All orders are processed within 1–3 business days of payment confirmation, Monday to Saturday, excluding Indian public holidays. Orders placed on Sundays or public holidays are processed on the next business day.
Paintings in our Ready to Hang collection are typically dispatched within 24–48 hours of order confirmation, as they are pre-framed and ready to ship.
For custom and commission artworks, processing begins only after the artwork is completed and approved by you. Commission timelines are communicated separately and typically range from 10 to 30 days depending on the complexity and size of the piece.

- Metro cities (Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune): 3–5 business days
- Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities across India: 5–7 business days
- Remote or rural PIN codes: 7–10 business days
- South Asia (Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh): 10–15 business days
- Southeast Asia and Middle East: 12–18 business days
- Europe and United Kingdom: 14–21 business days
- USA, Canada, and Australia: 15–25 business days
- Rest of the world: 18–30 business days
These are estimated timelines and may vary due to customs clearance, public holidays, or courier delays beyond our control.
Shipping Costs
For domestic orders within India, shipping is free on orders of ₹2,000 and above. For orders below ₹2,000, shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the destination and package weight.
For international orders, shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the destination country, package dimensions, and weight. Large or extra-large canvases may incur additional handling charges due to their size and protective packaging requirements, which will be communicated prior to dispatch.
Order Tracking
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number. You can track your order anytime via our tracking page at artanddesigner.in/apps/parcelpanel. Real-time updates are provided at every stage of your delivery journey, from our studio to your doorstep.
International Orders — Customs, Duties & Taxes
For international shipments, your order may be subject to import duties, taxes, or customs clearance fees levied by the destination country. These charges are not included in our product prices or shipping costs and are the sole responsibility of the customer.
We declare all shipments accurately at customs. We are unable to mark orders as gifts or declare lower values to avoid duties, as this is against regulations and our policy.
Customs processing times vary by country and are outside our control. International delivery estimates do not include potential customs hold times. If your shipment is held at customs, we will assist you with any supporting documentation we can provide.
How We Pack Your Painting
Every artwork is prepared for shipping in the following way:
- The painting surface is covered with acid-free tissue paper to protect the artwork from contact damage.
- Multiple layers of bubble wrap are applied for cushioning against impacts during transit.
- Rigid boards are placed on both sides to prevent bending or flexing, especially for paper-based works.
- The wrapped artwork is placed in a strong corrugated outer carton, appropriately sized to prevent movement.
- Boxes are clearly marked "Fragile – Handle with Care" and sealed before handover to our courier partner.
Lost or Damaged in Transit
If your painting arrives damaged, or your tracking shows delivered but the package has not arrived, please contact us within 48 hours of the delivery date with photographs of the packaging and the artwork. We will file a claim with the courier on your behalf and arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.
